Out on the edge of the roof looking down
I've been watching the folks that are gathering round
Been here for an hour or was it a half
Been sizing up people they just make me laugh
Ha ha ha
He he he
you can’t catch me!
Tiny dark faces are all that I see
Are those little bastards laughing at me
They learned how to creep and they learned how to crawl
But never really learned to speak English at all
Ha ha ha
He he he
you can’t catch me!
When I was a boy everything was just fine
I learned how to talk to walk the straight line
I was told more than once I should learn to be kind
But I never could kiss anybody’s behind
I'm a lot older and I guess I should know
But I'm here on the roof I guess I’m the show
Ha ha ha
He he he
you can’t catch me!
Still I love a party and to have a good time
Now I’m going to party like the party store’s mine
The sirens are closer guess they’re coming for me
Feet pound the stairway the hinges break free
My left foot steps over they’re catching their breath
My right foot soon follows from gravity’s grip
For now I am flying my face feels the breeze
All the crowd at ground level lock their gaze on me
I’m floating in space it's like walking the moon
My heart’s beating faster but it won't be soon
I don’t hear the scream when I hit the street
I can't feel a thing from my head to my feet
The cameras were rolling lead story at five
I’m better known DEAD then they are alive
Ha ha ha
He he he
You cant' catch
